8,8 cm Raketenwerfer 43
The 8.8 cm Raketenwerfer 43 was often abbreviated as RW43 and often referred to by its nickname "Puppchen"which translates to little doll. These guns were first introduced in 1943 and remained in use throughout the war. These rocket launchers used a similar 88mm round to the Panzerschreck which was also introduced in the same year. They proved to be far more accurate than their simple shoulder-fired counterparts but due to their complexity and increased cost to manufacture they were far less common. Only about 3000 of these were ever built.
These photographs were taken from a number of online sources and auction sites. They are presented here for educational purposes.
